The next class of MCC AmeriCorps*VISTAs will be placed on host sites across the state of Michigan for a year of service from November, 2005 to November, 2006. Benefits include: an Annual Living Allowance of approximately $10,000, an Education Award of $4,725 or End-of-Service Award of $1,200 upon completion of full term of service, Health Insurance, Student Loan Forbearance, Training and Professional Development, and Childcare Assistance Subsidies (if eligible).
Current open positions include those at Eastern Michigan University (Ypsilanti), Jackson Community College (Jackson), Schoolcraft College (Livonia), the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and the University of Michigan (Dearborn). The service done MCC AmeriCorps* VISTA members will expand campus commitments to quality service for children within low-income communities.
