Here are some volunteer events in which you could get involved with in October!

Gleaners Community Food Bank
Help package and store food boxes that will be later sent to local nonprofit agencies and charities that directly feed the poor and hungry
Date: Saturday, October 2nd, 2010
Time: 1 PM - 4 PM

(10 students needed!)

The Parade Company
Help paint the floats for the Thanksgiving Day Parade!
Date: Saturday, October 9th, 2010
Time: 9 AM - 2 PM
Location: 9500 Mt. Elliott, Studio A, Detroit, MI

The World Medical Relief
Help sort through and package medical supplies to be sent to the countries in need
Date: Thursdays, October 7th or 14th, 2010
Time: 10 AM - 2 PM
Location: 11745 Rosa Parks Blvd, Detroit, MI 48206-1270
(up to 15 students for each day)

Carpooling information: If you would like to car pool, please indicate so in the email. We will always meet in front of the Student Center (facing UGL) and carpool to the locations!

General Meeting: There will be a general meeting at the end of this month! More information (time, location) on that shortly!
